The Aurora location listening session for the Miners Memorial Heritage Park Master Plan

Scheduled for Thursday, October 8 , 6:30pm at Manny’s Restaurant and Lounge. This is the last scheduled Miners Park listening session. All area residents are welcome to attend and comment.

Why Listening Sessions?

The Miners Park listening sessions are conducted to discover what area residents, businesses and organizations would like the Miners Park to become. Community comments will help design the future Miners Park.

The Ironwood 2014 Comprehensive Plan says the Miners Memorial Heritage Park is “the amazing resource that has the potential to be a regional and national draw for new residents and tourists alike.”

The Jessieville/Industrial Park neighborhood listening session

Set for Thursday, October 1, 6:30pm at Rigoni’s Inn. For residents and those who work in the Industrial Park.

Why Listening Sessions?

The Miners Park listening sessions are designed to discover what area residents, businesses and organizations would like the Miners Park to become. Community comments will help design the future Miners Park.

The City’s 2014 Comprehensive Plan “recognizes the Miners Memorial Heritage Park as an important heritage site and recreational/open space amenity in the community to be protected and preserved for the enjoyment of all users.”

Neighborhood Listening Sessions Begin

First weekly neighborhood listening session at Tacconelli’s Thursday Sep 17 6:30pm

The Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park announce the first weekly neighborhood listening session to discuss what Ironwood residents, businesses and organizations would like the Miners Park to become. The first session is aimed at downtown residents, businesses, civic organizations and is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 6:30pm at Tacconelli’s banquet room in downtown Ironwood.

The Miners Park extends from Alfred Wright Boulevard on the west to Easy/Bonnie Street on the east. Ironwood residents living north of the Miners Park from the state-line east to the Industrial Park are invited to attend this listening session. The Friends of the Park are also scheduling Listening Sessions for the Industrial Park and Jessieville Location, Aurora Location and Norrie Location.
