Submissions
Applications for the 2021 Art in the Park are now open!
The Emberlight Festival is pleased to bring back the wonderful Art in the Park, hosted by the Miners Memorial Heritage Park from Friday, July 2 through Sunday, September 5.
Visual artists of all ages from across the upper Midwest are encouraged to apply.
We have a dedicated section of the park for artists under 18; please contact us for more information.

EMBERLIGHT CHOICE
$500
Grand Prize and Emberlight Choice will be awarded by a panel of professional artists independent of the western Upper Peninsula.
Emberlight Choice will be awarded to the installation that incorporates the Emberlight Festival’s 2021 Theme: “Light Your Fire”
The audience Prize will be awarded through online voting.
Art In The Park attendees will vote from July 2 – September 3, 2021.

Application Process
1. Walk through the Miners Memorial Heritage Park and choose a site you want.
2. Submit your online application.
3. An Emberlight representative will reach out to you within one week with any questions about your proposed installation.
4. Submit your registration payment. (Emberlight will send you a secure online payment form.)
5. Once we receive your payment, a member of our team will remove the site tag at your confirmed spot in the Miners Memorial Heritage Park
6. Start creating your art!
Registration Fee
Early Bird: $25 (before March 31, 2021 at 11:59pm CT)
Final Deadline: $40 (applications close May 31, 2021 at 11:59pm CT)
Terms and Conditions
All sites are first-come, first-served.
The Emberlight Festival must confirm your site. We will remove the site tag in the park.
The Emberlight Festival reserves the right to refuse or cancel any installation that is deemed offensive, unprofessional, doesn’t meet our quality standards or goes against Theatre North’s Code of Conduct.
The Emberlight Festival guarantees the following to all accepted artists:
High-quality photos of your installation taken by the
Emberlight Festival Photography TeamA dedicated post across our social media platforms
highlighting each artist and installation(Please note: The post will be scheduled at the discretion of the Emberlight Festival Director of Marketing)
A certificate recognizing the participating individual or group as an
Official 2021 Emberlight Festival Artist
